At AiBiCi State University, the rising concerns over misinformation, cyberbullying, and unauthorized sharing of private information prompted implementing a university-wide social media policy. Aimed at safeguarding free speech while promoting responsible online behavior, the policy introduced training programs, appointed a social media officer for enforcement, and established clear guidelines on crisis response, ethical conduct, and confidentiality. While the initiative effectively reduced policy violations and improved digital engagement, it sparked essential conversations about balancing individual freedoms and institutional oversight.
